Progress is Never Linear
Progress achieved by man is never linear. There are are a series of ups and downs in the attempt to get better at something versus accomplishing goals in straight linear fashion.
For example… think — a good stock in a market.
The stock rises and dips down. However, a stock that’s performing well overall is continually trending up.
In short, good, steady performance includes moments of decline.
That said, from a human perspective, having a self awareness that your progress in life will have undulations (the dips versus the upward spikes) is critical to getting back up and moving forward.
The point is— its important to be aware that in your effort to accomplish something difficult, there will be undulations. The key is to be aware of the dips, accept them as part of the plan and use them to your advantage.
I’ll get into standardizations and energy another day.
